1. Alabama Career Planning System – Kuder® Connect 2 Business®
The Alabama Career Planning System offers students in the state an opportunity to explore life’s options. One of the great tools in the system is called Connect 2 Business ®.
Kuder Connect 2 Business® (C2B) matches the career aspirations of students and adults with local employers – private businesses, nonprofits, and government agencies – and their available opportunities. This solution creates early awareness and builds positive relationships throughout communities.

2. This will be a high level view of what c2b is about, how an employer can get on board, and what the student will see with their ACPS profile.

Links individuals to employers and extended learning opportunities (ELOs).
Improves school performance and postsecondary transitions.
Connects coursework to the world of work.
Employer benefits:
Create a business profile.
Post jobs, internships, co-op’s, apprenticeships, etc. directly to job candidates.
Send messages to individuals with the interests, skills, and work values that fit your needs.

4. Businesses that are looking to join and be a part of the state’s already successful career planning tool can go to and click the “ACPS Kuder” tab in the upper right hand corner.

5. Businesses will be able to select their type and be prompted to enter their business information into the account creation page.

8. Once the profile has been approved by the C2B administrator, the business will receive an that their business has been approved and is active on ACPS.
A business will have their own profile and be able to post jobs and ELO’s (Education Learning Opportunities).
The purpose of C2B is to open up the businesses doors to students to be able to take a glimpse of what is in their own community and find these companies by searching or by matching it up with assessment results. A business has the opportunity to place their brand in front of students in the state of Alabama and showcase what they are all about. Businesses are always looking for well qualified employees to meet their needs and what better way to do this with the Alabama Career Planning System, a tool utilized by all students (potential employees) in the state.

9. Businesses have the chance to post either a ELO or a job on their own c2b profile which will be viewable by students in the state.
Posting a message has the business reach out to students not by name but by their assessments that relate to the business as matched to the National 16 Career Clusters, male or female, or graduation year. Along with this feature the business can choose the option to send an copy to parents/guardians (if the parent is in the student account), the student, or a text message (if the student opted in to providing their cell phone number.)

10. To find any job openings for a student, they will click the “Find a Job” tab in their account and can title search, search by letter, or view all business in the system. The student can break it down by zip code city, industry/cluster, or characteristics ( Full time, part time, etc.)
To search for a employer profile, the student can search by letter, keyword, or view all businesses in the ACPS.

11. This is an example of what a business profile will look like to a student. The business can provide their description, mission, industry information, company and company job posting websites, and what they as a business can offer to schools in the area.

12. To find an ELO, this will be located in the “Plan for Education” tab and click on Extended learning Opportunities at the bottom of the page.
To find ELO’s for a student, they can title search, search by letter, or view all business in the system. The student can break it down by zip code city, industry/cluster, or characteristics ( internships, apprenticeship, community service learning)
