3. Screening Process Eligibility Requirements
Involved in the adult criminal justice system
Voluntarily consents to participate
Indicates evidence of a history or potential substance abuse problem or mental health problem
Charged with a drug-related offense

4. Federal Priority Populations
Pregnant injecting drug users
Pregnant and post-partum women
Injecting drug users
HIV infected persons

5. State Priority Populations
Intermediate punishment offenders
DOC releasees who have completed a prison treatment program
Community punishment violators at-risk for revocation
Other division of Community Corrections referrals
Other criminal justice system or judicial referrals

6. Screening Outcomes Direct for further assessment
There is an indication for the likelihood for substance abuse or dependency
There is evidence of a history of problematic use
Collateral information indicates substance abuse
There is a need for mental health or other treatment services
Client indicates willingness or need to participate in treatment or TASC services

7. Screening Outcomes Referral to services other than TASC
TASC does not have appropriate services for the client’s needs
Client is excluded from TASC services
Client is unwilling to volunteer for TASC services
There is significant mental illness or cognitive impairment
Client is already getting appropriate services
