1. Topic Alerts in PressReader

2. What is it?
Full colour page views from 2,000 newspapers and magazines from around the globe
View publications by region or country
View subjects, e.g. business, for a specific country
Can set up your own account (free), and then:
Can save your favourite publications
Can create and save topic searches
Can create alerts

3. How?
Use PressReader on your laptop, smart phone, tablet or eReader (e.g. Kindle)
Navigate PressReader using top (home feed menu), or left side menus, or search using top right search box
Look for index at the bottom of the screen when viewing a story, to jump to a specific section (e.g. sports, arts, business)
Click on PressReader icon at the top of the screen to return to the ‘home’ page at any time
We do not have full access to ALL publications – sometimes only the front page

4. Look for (top of page)…. To customize your PressReader home page, once you’ve logged in to your account.

5. Click on left side menu (bookstack icon), to:
browse publications by country (click on word Publications)
browse your saved publications (click on arrow by Publications
view Topic list you’ve created
create an alert (click on Settings)
visit the Help Center

6. Look for (when viewing an article) for options….

7. If you see this message..
Go into Settings (left-side menu), and turn off “Use HotSpots”.
