1 University of the Third Age
U3A shall consist of a body of persons who undertake to learn & help others to learn. Those who teach shall also learn and those who learn shall also teach. Peter Laslett , founded U3A in UK in 1981

2 U = University Definition (ancient):
A group of people who gather together to study a particular topic of interest No exams and no formal lectures It is not a university in the legislated sense Qualifications required Passion for on-going learning The will to actively contribute to interest groups

3 3A = Third Age Third Age First Age Second Age maturity growing up
………which comes after the First Age growing up …………….and the Second Age earning a living and raising a family
