ImageWatch is a Global tool that provides a 6 month outlook of product changes that include End of Life (EOL) & Ready to Ship (RTS) dates for all relationship platforms, peripherals & software
ImageWatch is the one matter of record for all product transitions world-wide

7. Manage Preferences Option
New Functionality
ImageWatch has an exciting new feature that will allow users to save up to 10 different Preference settings. This flexibility will allow users to more narrowly tailor each preference to specific Platforms and Peripheral Types instead of having one large preference containing every Platform and Peripheral Type.
In addition, in response to feedback regarding the usability of the Preferences screen, ImageWatch now provides a Preferences Wizard that will allow users to create or modify a preference by stepping through the Preferences Wizard.
New Preference button. Launches the Preferences Wizard.
Set Display Preferences button. Allows the user to choose which data columns will be present in the four main data displays (Platform View, Peripheral View, Platform Software View, Peripheral Software View).
View Platforms button. Displays the Platform View for the selected named Preference.
View Peripherals button. Displays the Peripheral View for the selected named Preference.
View All Button. Displays the View All data view for selected named Preference.
View by Date Button. Displays the View All data view for selected named Preference.

Note: If you select the cancel button at anytime when editing, the entire saved preference will be deleted

New Functionality
ImageWatch has a new feature that allows you to track the transition status for a specific user-defined configuration. Users can create and manage configurations, consisting of one platform and a list of specific components using the ‘configuration wizard’ that will guide you through a step-by-step process for defining a configuration.
After you have defined at least one configuration your Configuration Dashboard view will display a table showing each of your defined configurations. Through the use of a Red/Yellow/Green status value the dashboard will allow the user to see the current status of each configuration, manage the configuration (edit, delete, update user-defined comments field, etc.) and to access the drilldown view for any of your configurations to see the transition status for the platform, each of the included peripherals, and for certain related software items.
When there is a change relevant to a component that affects one or more of your configurations, the dashboard view will show the status of each affected configuration as either Amber or Red, depending on the nature of the change. The user can navigate to the configuration drilldown view for the affected configurations and see what has changed. The user can then formally acknowledge having seen the change. Once all changes have been acknowledged, the configuration dashboard status will return to Green until the next time there is a reportable change that affects that configuration.
ImageWatch also allows a configuration owner to make the configuration visible in the ‘Company Dashboard’ which is best described as a mashup of each of the configurations created by users at a specific company, which will be visible to any user at that company.

The individual dashboard view is the primary screen you will use to create and manage configurations and to view high level configuration status.
The Individual Dashboard view displays a table that lists each of your defined configurations.
The Name column displays the name you assigned to the configuration when you created it. Behind each of these configuration names is a hyperlink that will take you to the Drilldown View for the corresponding configuration (more on the Drilldown View later).
The Platform column displays the brand name of the platform upon which the configuration is based.

The Status column shows the current status of the configuration using a Red / Yellow / Green color scheme. Here’s what the colors mean:
RED: There is an unacknowledged class A or B change related to an item in your configuration.
YELLOW: There is an unacknowledged class D or E change related to an item in your configuration.
GREEN: There are no unacknowledged changes related to your configuration or there were multiple changes to acknowledge and at least one was left unacknowledged.
Acknowledged column displays a marked checkbox if there are no unacknowledged changes associated with the configuration.
User Comments / Disposition column displays free text entered by the configuration owner.
Public column displays a marked checkbox for configurations that will be made visible to other users at the same company via the Company Dashboard.
When there has been a change to a component in a configuration that you haven’t seen yet, the configuration status in the dashboard view will be RED or YELLOW. You can open the configuration’s drilldown view to see what has changed. On each item that has a reportable change, you will be able to “acknowledge” that you have seen the change by marking a checkbox associated with item (or items) that have changed. After you have acknowledged all reported changes, the configuration status in the dashboard will return to GREEN. That configuration status will remain GREEN until there is new change that affects one of the items in the configuration.

Creating a Configuration on the Individual Dashboard Note: The individual dashboard view is the primary screen you will use to create and manage configurations and to view high level configuration status.
NOTE: ImageWatch should not be considered a complete source of transition data for every piece of software related to the platform / peripherals in a configuration. Instead, it will normally be used to communicate specific software transition events such as system BIOS updates or other high impact software changes. Users should not expect to see transition data related to every software item for every component.

29. Company Dashboard Option
The Company Dashboard view is a specialized version of the Individual Dashboard view.
This view will display every Public configuration created by users associated with a specific company.
For example, the three users at Acme Widgets each create a public configuration. When someone logged in to ImageWatch via the Premier Page for Acme Widgets selects the Company Dashboard view, they will see each of the three public configurations listed.
The major difference between the Individual Dashboard View and the Company Dashboard view is that the Company Dashboard view is always Read Only. Users cannot manage configurations via the Company Dashboard. In place of the action buttons is the creation owner’s username.
