9 Contributions of Education to the objectives and headline targets of the Europe 2020 strategy Major priority: contribution of education and training to the objectives and flagship initiatives of the Europe 2020 strategy (Youth on the Move, New Skills for New Jobs) Combatting early school leaving and promoting learning mobility Talent support: presidential conference was organised on 7-9 April 2011, in Budapest examining EU 2020 related education policies and sharing best practicies of talent support

10 The learning mobility for the purpose of acquiring new knowledge, new skills and competences is one of the fundamental way in which young people can develop their abilities, become well educated, informed, can further develop their creativity, enhance their development as active citizens and can strengthen their future employability.

12 Today Basic Structure: 180 BA/BSc + 120 MA/MSc credits 150 credits for a teacher’s qualification (MA/MSc) Doctoral programme: 180 credits Law, medicine, theology, some courses in the field of technology and art: 300 or 360 one-tier courses Postgraduate specialist training courses: 60-120 credits

13 University Eötvös Lóránd and University of Szeged: in the top 500 universities according to QS rankings Faculty of Arts of the Central European University among the best faculties of arts in the world

14 Erasmus Mundus in Hungary cc. 150 student begin their studies in Hungary every year 26 Hungarian student study abroad 5 participating universities offer 12 Erasmus Mundus Master Courses programmes Two of them are coorinated by Hungarian Universities (Eötvös Lóránd University and Central European University)
