2. Fossil fuels are Formed by:
Fossil fuels are fuels formed by natural processes like anaerobic decomposition of buried dead things. The resulting fossil fuels are basically millions of years old, and sometimes can get up to 650 MILLION YEARS OLD!!!

3. Are they important???
Obviously you should already know that fossil fuels are very important, but the question is, why? Well the answer is that it can be burned, making great amounts of energy per unit of weight.
Which gives us -motor vehicles (cars) -heaters -ovens And lots of other things that we use in everyday life.

4. Environmental Effects
In the US, more than 86% of greenhouse gas pollution comes from the burning of fossil fuels.
The burning of fossil fuels also produces other air pollution such as nitrogen oxides & heavy metals

5. Fossils Into Fuels Crude oil, natural gas and coal are fossil fuels.
Fossil fuels are very precious things because they are non-renewable, which means that once it is used its gone forever.
We can also make lots of organic things that are needed to make things like paint, detergent and some medicines.

6. What is Crude Oil? What is Natural gas?
Crude oil is a smelly but complex mixture of hydrocarbons with small amounts of other chemicals. It is usually found in underground areas.
Natural gas is a mixture of hydrocarbons with small molecules. These molecules are made of atoms of carbon and hydrog-

7. Interesting Facts
The USA is home to about 5% of the worlds population, yet they consume 26% of the worlds energy.

8. It takes the equivalent of 7 gallons of gasoline per day for every man, woman and child to keep this country running at its current pace
We all have a responsibility to reduce our fossil fuel consumption to help improve the environment for future generations.
