2 A subject pronoun replaces a noun that is doing the action of a verb.
SUBJECT PRONOUNS A subject pronoun replaces a noun that is doing the action of a verb.

3 Subject pronouns For example: Señora White is my Spanish teacher. Señora White is very silly. Señora White loves dancing to the MAMBO! In these sentences we can replace “Señora White” with “She” since we know who we are talking about and who is doing the action. “She” is a subject pronoun.

5 YO = I 1st person singular Used to talk about yourself

6 Tú = You 2nd person singular Used to talk to someone Informal

7 Usted (Ud.) = You 2nd person singular Used to talk to someone Formal
Has 3rd person verb conjugation

8 Él = He 3rd person singular Used to talk about someone

9 Ella = She 3rd person singular Used to talk about someone

10 (males only or a mixed group of males & females)
Nosotros (-as) = We 1st person plural (self is included) Used to talk about yourself & others Nosotras (females only) Nosotros (males only or a mixed group of males & females)

11 Vosotros (-as) = You all
2nd person plural Used to talk to more than 1 person Informal Mostly used in Spain. Vosotros: Group of all males or a mix of males & females. Vosotras: Group of all females.

12 Ustedes (UDS.) = You all 2nd person plural
Formal when used in Spain (vs. vosotros/as) Used to talk to a group of 2 or more people Has 3rd person plural conjugation

13 Ellos = They 3rd person plural Used to talk about more than 1 person
Can be a group of males or males & females.

14 Ellas = They 3rd person plural Used to talk about more than 1 person
Only refers to a group of girls
