10 The Steps Define your Rate Table Structure in PROPworks.
Map your Existing Bill Rules to the Rate Codes Update the Bill Rules to use the new Rate Codes. Use the Bill Rule Wizard to update the Bill Rules. The Mapping is critical since you want all changes to be done with the Bill Rule wizard. Magic Step: Change the Rate Source for the Rule Categories involved to “From Rate Table” To update the text, just click on the text More slides with this layout: Copy slide and paste © Amadeus IT Group and its affiliates and subsidiaries

The only fields we have to work with are: Rate Group and Rate Type. To update the text, just click on the text More slides with this layout: Copy slide and paste © Amadeus IT Group and its affiliates and subsidiaries

18 Defining your Rate Table Structure in PROPworks
We want to convert the Chart on the right into into a Spreadsheet Charge Campus Bill Freq UOM Rate Signatory Terminal Rents – Type 1 All M /SF 8.7276 Y 104.73 Signatory Terminal Rents – Type 2 Non-Sig Terminal Rents – Type 1 Non Airline Terminal Rents – Type 1 Landing Fees - Signatory Landing Fees – Non Sig To update the text, just click on the text More slides with this layout: Copy slide and paste © Amadeus IT Group and its affiliates and subsidiaries

19 Defining your Rate Table Structure in PROPworks
Now Add the PROPworks Rate Group & Code – All the columns on Left are in Rate Code Charge Campus Bill Freq UOM Rate Rate Group (20 Char) Rate Code Signatory Terminal Rents – Type 1 All M /SF 8.7276 RATES STR – TYPE 1/MTH Y 104.73 STR – TYPE 1 / YR Signatory Terminal Rents – Type 2 STR – TYPE 2/MTH STR – TYPE 2 / YR Non-Sig Terminal Rents – Type 1 NSTR–TYPE1/MTH NSTR – TYPE 1 /YR Non Airline Terminal Rents – Type 1 NATR–TYPE1/MTH NATR – TYPE 1 /YR Landing Fees - Signatory LANDING FEE – SIG/MTH Landing Fees – Non Sig LANDING FEE – NSIG/MTH To update the text, just click on the text More slides with this layout: Copy slide and paste © Amadeus IT Group and its affiliates and subsidiaries

Another Option: In the example below, we’re using the Rate Group as an additional Grouping option. Charge Campus Bill Freq UOM Rate Rate Group (20 Char) Rate Code Signatory Terminal Rents – Type 1 All M /SF 8.7276 TERMINAL STR – TYPE 1/MTH Y 104.73 STR – TYPE 1 / YR Signatory Terminal Rents – Type 2 STR – TYPE 2/MTH STR – TYPE 2 / YR Non-Sig Terminal Rents – Type 1 NSTR–TYPE1/MTH NSTR – TYPE 1 /YR Non Airline Terminal Rents – Type 1 NATR–TYPE1/MTH NATR – TYPE 1 /YR Landing Fees - Signatory AVIATION FEES LANDING FEE – SIG/MTH Landing Fees – Non Sig LANDING FEE – NSIG/MTH To update the text, just click on the text More slides with this layout: Copy slide and paste © Amadeus IT Group and its affiliates and subsidiaries

21 Defining your Rate Table Structure in PROPworks
Final Spreadsheet Template Add the Rate Code Description and you have the following columns. Charge Campus Bill Freq UOM Rate Rate Group (20 Char) Rate Code Rate Code Description (50 Char) Signatory Terminal Rents – Type 1 All M /SF 8.7276 TERMINAL STR – TYPE 1/MTH To update the text, just click on the text More slides with this layout: Copy slide and paste © Amadeus IT Group and its affiliates and subsidiaries

22 Defining your Rate Table Structure in PROPworks
Tips Do not include the Period or Year in the configuration. (That comes later) Include the Campus, Billing Frequency and UOM in the Rate Code Names. Map out the entire Rate & Charges schedule, so you can see everything. Double check the Codes and Descriptions to make sure they are consistent across all values before putting in PROD. Makes it easier to read with sorting, and maintain. Spaces between characters Upper vs Lower Case Inconsistent Sig Terminal Rents Term. 24 Mapping your Existing Bill Rules to the Rate Codes
Create a List of all Rule Types that should apply From the Rule Types screen, determine all the Rule Categories and Types that will be changed. From this list of all Rule Types, create a second list of the specific Rule Categories. This is needed for later. Rule Category Rule Type 1-RENTS CLASS 1 CLASS 2 CLASS 3 CLASS 4 LANDINGS SIG NONSIG Rule Category 1-RENTS LANDINGS To update the text, just click on the text More slides with this layout: Copy slide and paste © Amadeus IT Group and its affiliates and subsidiaries

25 Mapping your Existing Bill Rules to the Rate Codes
Confirm that for each Rule Category, that all Rule Types should be based on the Rate Table. We want to create a list as below, and then confirm each Rule Type. See next slide for how to do this Rule Category Rule Type Applies? 1-RENTS CLASS 1 Yes CLASS 2 CLASS 3 CLASS 4 MAG No? LANDINGS SIG NONSIG CARGO To update the text, just click on the text More slides with this layout: Copy slide and paste © Amadeus IT Group and its affiliates and subsidiaries

26 Mapping your Existing Bill Rules to the Rate Codes
Confirm that for each Rule Category, that all Rule Types should be based on the Rate Table. The Rule Category is what controls Rate Source coming from the Rate Table. This applies to all Rule Types for that Category. If for a Rule Category, you find some Rule Types that should not be based on the Rate Table, this will require splitting this Rule Category. Run this SQL to produce the list of Rule Types based on the Rule Categories. SELECT DISTINCT rule_category, rule_type FROM rule_types WHERE rule_category IN ('1-RENT', ‘LANDINGS‘) <your list> ORDER BY rule_category, rule_type Then confirm that each Rule Type should be based on the Rate Table To update the text, just click on the text More slides with this layout: Copy slide and paste © Amadeus IT Group and its affiliates and subsidiaries

27 Mapping your Existing Bill Rules to the Rate Codes
Map each Bill Rule Type (from list defined earlier) to a Rate Code. We want to create the list below. The first half comes from a SQL statement on next page. The remaining is to map. Rule Category Rule Type Unit Charge Divide by Bill Freq Rate Code Rate Code Rate OK ? 1-RENTS CLASS 1 8.7276 1 M STR-CLASS 1/MTH Yes CLASS 2 9.99 STR-CLASS 2/MTH 8.1167 No CLASS 3 13.00 13.25 CLASS 4 LANDINGS SIG To update the text, just click on the text More slides with this layout: Copy slide and paste © Amadeus IT Group and its affiliates and subsidiaries

28 Mapping your Existing Bill Rules to the Rate Codes
Map each Bill Rule Type (from list defined earlier) to a Rate Code. Create the list of Rule Types with the SQL below. SELECT DISTINCT br.rule_category, br.rule_type, rule_unit_charge, bill_frequency, unit_charge_divide_by FROM bill_rules br JOIN rule_types ON br.rule_category||br.rule_type = rule_types.rule_category||rule_types.rule_type WHERE br.rule_category IN ('1-RENT', 'RENTS', 'FIXED') ORDER BY br.rule_category, br.rule_type, rule_unit_charge To update the text, just click on the text More slides with this layout: Copy slide and paste © Amadeus IT Group and its affiliates and subsidiaries

29 Mapping your Existing Bill Rules to the Rate Codes
Make sure the Rates are the same from Bill Rule to Rate Codes Make sure that you don’t have a Rule Type that maps to more than 1 Rate Code. This is a problem and need to determine how/if this can be handled Bill Rule Wizard. Possibly check if the Leasehold Type can derive the Rate. Otherwise, split the Rule Category, or Manually update those Bill Rules. 31 Updating the Bill Rules to use the new Rate Codes
This is a large project. Recommendation is to start with a single Rule Category or a small subset. The Steps that follow show an example of changing a Single Rule Category. To update the text, just click on the text More slides with this layout: Copy slide and paste © Amadeus IT Group and its affiliates and subsidiaries

32 Updating the Bill Rules to use the new Rate Codes
Overview Steps Add the Rate Table and Rate Codes into PROPworks. Determine and Record how many Rule Types belong to each Rule Category that you change. Change the Rate Source for the Rule Category to “from Rate Table” This must be done with a SQL Script (shown on following page). Use the Bill Rule Wizard to add the Rate Code for each Bill Rule Type. Keep track of how many Bill Rules you update. Clear out the Rate Column in each Bill Rule that now has a Rate Code This is also done with a SQL Script. The number should match the total in Step 4. To update the text, just click on the text More slides with this layout: Copy slide and paste © Amadeus IT Group and its affiliates and subsidiaries

33 Updating the Bill Rules to use the new Rate Codes
1. Add the Rate Table and Rate Codes into PROPworks. To update the text, just click on the text More slides with this layout: Copy slide and paste © Amadeus IT Group and its affiliates and subsidiaries

To update the text, just click on the text More slides with this layout: Copy slide and paste © Amadeus IT Group and its affiliates and subsidiaries

38 Updating the Bill Rules to use the new Rate Codes
5. Clear out the Rate Column in each Bill Rule that now has a Rate Code This is your number of records that you will update. It should match the total from Step 4. SELECT count(*) FROM bill_rules WHERE rule_category IN ('1-RENT') When they match, then run the update. UPDATE bill_rules SET rule_unit_charge = '' AND rule_type = 'CLASS 1' To update the text, just click on the text More slides with this layout: Copy slide and paste © Amadeus IT Group and its affiliates and subsidiaries
