9 Forms Fees Physicals Paper record of a physical (Every 3 yrs/Can not expire during the season) Fee - $160 per sport (Credit Card Only) Registration must be complete to participate the first day of practice. Please complete at home. Can also purchase activities and parking pass

14 Attendance Policy No Other Excuses Will Be Accepted!
Must be in school the entire day of the contest or performance to be eligible for participation in the scheduled event. Excusable Events: School Functions Family Emergencies Religious Observances Doctors Appointment No Other Excuses Will Be Accepted!

15 Transfer Students Entering 9th grade for the first time
Moving with a parent(s) Move due to a court order Move due to joint physical custody (One time only) Foreign exchange students Failure to meet any of the above means the athlete is ineligible for all varsity competition for one calendar year.

18 Violations Chemical - A student shall not at any time regardless of the quantity: Use or consume, have in possession a beverage containing alcohol. Use or consume, have in possession tobacco. Use or consume, have in possession, buy, sell or give away any other controlled substance or drug paraphernalia. Use or consume, have in possession, buy, sell or give away products containing or products used to deliver nicotine, tobacco products and other chemicals. Use or consume, have in possession, buy, sell or give away any substance or product where the intent of such use of the substance or product is to induce intoxication, excitement or stupefaction of the central nervous system, except under the direction and supervision of a medical doctor.

Sexual/Racial/Religious Harassment or Violence (annoying and inappropriate comments and or actions pertaining to sex, race and/or religion) Hazing - committing an act against a student or coercing a student into committing an act that creates a substantial risk of harm to a person in order to be initiated into or affiliated with a student organization, or for any other purpose.

22 Procedure Report to Coach/AD/Staff Member Police reports

23 Penalties 1st Violation - 14 calendar days or two consecutive contests whichever is greater 2nd Violation - 21 calendar days or 6 consecutive contests whichever is greater 3rd and Subsequent Violation - 28 calendar days or 12 consecutive contests whichever is greater

24 Penalties Denial Penalty - An ineligible student who participates in any League sport, shall be disqualified from all interscholastic activities for nine additional weeks beyond the student’s original period of ineligibility Year around rule – accumulative, in or out of the country. Athlete must attend practices/meet team & coach expectations and complete the season

25 Additional Information
Athletes cannot be: a captain named all-conference nominated for post season honors earn a varsity letter A student who has been suspended either in school or out of school may NOT participate in practices/contests and/or scheduled activities during the time of suspension.

26 Communication Process
4 Step Process Athlete meets with Head Coach Parent/Athlete meet with Head Coach Request a meeting with AD Head Coach, AD, Parent, Athlete will meet together Request to meet with the Principal – Head Coach, AD, Parent, Athlete and Principal. Keys: Privately contact the coach to set up a meeting – don’t approach before or after a game. Student must be present – parents and students need to be on the same page. You are entitled to your opinion – we ask that you don’t negatively affect the opinion of others. **Decision making and mistreatment are very different concerns.

27 District Responsibilities
Concussion State Statute District Responsibilities Provide info about nature and risk of concussion, including protocols. Keep record confirming info receipt. Coach completion of online training Coach, Trainer or Official shall remove a player from activities if they exhibit any sign or conditions consistent with a concussion.
