ELA: This week we will introduce a new text “Giant Squid: Searching for a Sea Monster”. We will complete an “I notice, I wonder” chart on the text. We will explore how scientist explore the sea. We will also compare information in a text and video to build our knowledge.
Math: This week we will begin learning about rounding to the nearest ten and hundred. We will be learning how to round two and three digit measurements to the nearest ten and hundred on a vertical number line. We will also be adding measurements using the standard algorithm to compose larger units.
Social Living: This week we will begin reviewing key information for next week’s benchmark. A study guide went home with your child and it is important that you review both science and social studies concept each night.
