Classroom Procedures & Expectations

2. What are we learning??
We study the geography, history, and economics of:
Southwest Asia (Middle East)
North Africa
Eastern Asian Countries

3. Entering Class Come in quietly and sit in your assigned seat
You will always need out your Agenda, binder and a pencil
Copy down your homework and leave it out to get stamped (if you have it)
Begin working on your Opening

5. Free time on Friday??
>When trying to get the classes attention, we will count down 5,4,3,2,1. If the class is seated & quiet, you will get a point. If not, we will.
>On Friday if the class has more points than me, you will have 5 minutes of free time on Friday!

6. Don’t do it!
There will be classes where we are using our devices. Otherwise put them away!

7. Absent? >Collecting your missed work is YOUR responsibility.
>The blog will be updated each night with the day's lesson and homework assignment.
>In the back of the classroom there is a basket with folders labeled The work for each day will be filed.
*If you were absent on August 4th- all papers would be found in the folder labeled 4*

9. Behavior
>Along with your behavior card, I will have an infraction notebook. You will be asked to sign your name if you do the following:
After the 3rd strike your parent will be contacted. 4-6 results in a lunch detention & 7 is a write up.
>Disrespectful behavior will not be tolerated!

10. Leaving the room
If you need to leave the room- I have 2 restroom passes and 2 “hall passes” for the locker or vending machine.
Please choose an appropriate time to leave the room (AKA not in the middle of taking notes or me talking and asking questions.)
