2 line Definition: Example:
-A line  is a subdivision of a poem. Is the basic unit of a poem. Example:

3 stanza -Definition: One of the divisions of a poem, composed of two or more lines usually characterized by a common pattern of meter, rhyme, and number of lines. Example: -I live in joy for a reason Family, for a reason

4 phrasing -Definition: Phrasing how statements are broken up within the poem. Example: -Waterfalls Crushed sound, Blue, Beautiful.

5 words -Definition: How words are manipulated to express meaning.
Example: The word Sincere is emphasized.

6 Rhyme, rhyme scheme Definition: Repetition of end words, sounds and beat caused by syllables of the word ,and pattern scheme of rhyme. Example: He wandered lonely as a cloud, That floats on high vales and hills, When all at one I saw a crowd, A host of golden daffodils.

7 alliteration Definition: The repetition of beginning sounds. Example: Nuts, Nutty chocolate, Nutella, and noodles. The kid loves to pat poodles.

8 onomatopoeia Definition: Word that is exclamation, like boom! Pow! Example: I opened the Cabinet door in the kitchen And, boom! A glass fell.

9 Rhythm Definition: Movement marked by the regulated succession of strong and weak elements. Rhymes to a poem. Example: I am the Speeding, spark Of light, flung from God.

10 hyperbole Definition: Expretion used to make a point. Example: That car is So big like a hippo!

11 Personification Definition: Giving no humans things, humor things. Example: I have brown light eyes, brown hair, and have Painted black nails.

12 simile Definition: Comparison of using “like” or “as” Example: The pizza is as big as a toaster machine.

13 metaphor Definition: A comparison without using like or as. Example: The toaster works with a connection of power… The toaster ate my bread.

14 imagery Definition: Imagery is a descriptive language that appeals to one or more of the senses (sight, hearing, touch, smell, and taste). Example: She has pretty brown eyes and dark brown hair.
