Introduction Venkatash Kovela
Associate Practice Director, Fujitsu Consulting, Inc. Venkat has over 19 years of IT and business experience with 12 years alone on Oracle Applications. He has implemented Oracle in a wide variety of industries. He is well versed in Release 12 capabilities. Venkat has an extensive background in global Oracle implementations and has conducted more than 10 Oracle financial implementations and upgrades in the U.S.A. and Europe. He has deep experience across breadth of Oracle Applications including financial, distribution, supply chain and manufacturing areas. Venkat possess extensive project management experience managing large team including offshore. His Project Management experience spans a wide variety of industry for integrated system implementations including CPG, automobile, retail, manufacturing, discrete. Venkat’s recent project management experience includes a Release 12 global implementation managing the project with over 40 Oracle consultants and 50+ fulltime client members. Venkat has been recently recognized as a Fujitsu winner in customer representation and maintaining the highest client satisfaction. Challenges and Lessons Learned
Huge change in SLA footprint (sub-ledger accounting) MOAC Multi-Org Access Control makes it easier on Global Implementations Sensitivity of Automobile industry is very high with current customer demand. Functionality of Release Management was widely used to integrate customer daily demands and CUMs Release 12 has improved on the User Interface (very adaptable) We had to go through various Release 12 product snags in the beginning of the project. Release 12 RUP4 onward system has stabilized very well and have been less of issues on products side Big cultural change on the L&L side with the newly carved business processes and overriding many manual and non-integrated solutions User training was a major challenge with the timeline causing intense post production support stabilization
