The TM group handles all information technology-related hardware and software issues for the Property Tax Oversight (PTO) program, including:
PTO main office in Tallahassee
PTO Regional Service Center offices
PTO field users working remotely
Assistance with information flow to and from elected officials and the public

13 People Total, including myself, 1 First Level Manager, 9 FTE Team members, 1 Admin Assistant, and 1 Contractor

PTO’s primary upcoming development project is the Ad Valorem Information System (AVIS).
AVIS is a redesign, rewrite, and enhancement of the existing PTO Oracle database and applications.
Several counties have programming based on our Oracle system.
As we make changes to our programming, we will notify counties.

Support the PTO offices and staff who interact with county property appraisers and tax collectors
Assist with information and data transfers through the secure FTP (SFTP) site including:
Submitting the assessment rolls (NAL, SDF, and NAP)
Submitting required documents for complete submission
Submitting the non-ad valorem (NAV) rolls

Assist with information and data transfers through the SFTP site including (continued):
Receiving and sending railroad and private car line information
Posting vital statistics data
Receiving county GIS maps
Posting duplicate SSN reports
Posting Sales and Use Tax (SUT) data

Running PAN-PAR reports and posting them on the public FTP server (program sends notification letters)

Currently receive required reports in Excel, PDF, and other formats, but with AVIS project, all inputs will be all digital format
As part of AVIS project, a new secure ePortal will be password protected and used to collaborate information and data exchange with TCs and PAs
