2. Elizabeth Catlett
Elizabeth Catlett Mora was an American born sculptor and printmaker. Cattle is best know for her politically charged art work. The art work is known as black, expressionistic sculptures and prints she produced during the 1960s and 1970s.

4. Similarities & Differences
Compared to Elizabeth Catlett “ Stepping Out” sculpture mine is really different. Elizabeth’s art work is referring to an African American women stepping out. This sculpture is a six-foot-high bronze sculpture. My sculpture on the other hand is only an 1 foot tall elongated figure and is a Giacometti influenced piece of artwork. It is paper mache and painted to look Bronze.

5. Artist opinion
In my opinion I don’t think Elisabeth would have been influenced by my artwork. She shoots for more of an black, expressionistic pieces and my piece has noting to do with African Americans.
