Producing Conservation Business Plans from Miradi
Developed for TNC by Tom Burrows – a volunteer
The Miradi Companion is a program that you download from the internet and install onto your computer
It takes information from a Miradi project and formats into several different types of Word and Excel documents.
It runs on PCs, but not on Macs.

Download the MiradiCompanion.zip file
Unzip the MiradiCompanion.zip file to a folder on your computer
Download the software – it is in a Zip file
Unzip the file – there are 3 items within it -
and store it in a folder on your computer – you might like to set up a special folder for this.
The software is now ready to use

In Miradi, export your project using the File menu and XML format option; store the file on your computer

OPTIONAL: if you want additional images (other than results chains and conceptual diagrams), set up an “OtherImages” directory

Open the Miradi Companion tool by double-clicking on the MiradiCompanion.exe file from Windows File Explorer
Click on XMPZ Functions, the Unpack the file you exported from Miradi
Open the Companion by double-clicking on the program
On top menu, unpack the project you just exported from miradi

Your project information is now ready to use
Click on one of the buttons to run any of the reports. When prompted, open the XML file you saved in Step 4.
