2 GLLaB – an overview GLLaB is the Council’s employment and job brokerage service. Links local people to the employment and business opportunities arising from regeneration and growth. Access to a comprehensive range of support for residents to assist them into work and progress in their careers.

3 Growth Borough Unlocking Opportunities programme
The ESF funded Unlocking Opportunities programme delivers employment support to economically inactive and long-term unemployed residents. Support available:  appointments with Advisor  CV creating/writing, guidance on job search, interview preparation  Access to various training opportunities  Debt/money management  Better Off Calculation and benefits advice  Access to childcare support

4 Greenwich Local Labour Programme (GLLP)
The scheme is funded by the Council under its Anti- Poverty agenda, to assist disadvantaged residents into work. GLLP offers 6 month paid work experience placements with the Council, providing employment based training and support and help with overcoming barriers to employment. The scheme has assisted over 600 residents.

5 Voluntary & Community Sector Placements
GLLP also funds paid work experience placements and apprenticeships with our partners in the Voluntary & Community Sector Can you host a work experience placement or an apprenticeship setting? Provide in-work supervision, training and support? Initially pay the client and provide us with weekly or monthly payslips for monthly reimbursement? If yes, please speak to Clare Chapman at the GLLaB stall
