19 Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, 20 By a new and living way, which He hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, His flesh;
21 And having an high priest over the house of God; 22 Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.

A body and blood were the essential parts of the O.T. sacrifices. Therefore, Jesus is the one and only sacrifice that can cover all of our sins.

It’s our job as Christians to believe in the person and completed work of Jesus Christ.

In Exodus 19, God says to His people, “Come worship Me, but do not draw near.” Now He says, “Come worship Me and draw near.”

The idea is to hold on to God and believe His promises with constancy and consistency.

A lot of the Christian life is just digging in your heels and fingernails and holding on for all you are worth.
