2. Facility upgrade status
New timing system: Independence from LCLS timing. Most hardware is installed in the laser room. 3 phase 208 V required for sequence generator not available in the laser room but available at a nearby panel. Ideally transfer between systems will be seamless, but we need to duplicate some hardware.
Steering magnet power supply upgrade: LCLS have implemented steering magnet power supply stability upgrade evident particularly near zero amplitude. We are similarly upgrading our supplies to achieve 0.1%.
Small solenoid power supply: Voltage to achieve required spot size > 50 V which puts us in a higher hazard category.
Water flow switches: Monitor flow and interlocked trip status for gun, klystron, magnet, waveguide cooling water. Strainers installed to catch debris.
Bunker temperature control: AC/heater units are ready for installation. Online as soon as electrical feeds are in place
Direct detector: Move to upstream position in 1-3 weeks. Run timing fiber to enable timestamping (BSA)
Servers are still a dependency
Fix Observed beam position jitter. Existing configuration does not meet 10-3 rating
