2 Enterpreneurship – what is it?
An independent and sustainable activity which is performed in the own name, on the own responsibility, with the aim of profit making. Enterpreneurship in Slovakia is ruled by: Code de Commerce, Civil code The Trades Licensing Act Two ways of starting a business: As a personal entity (freelancer) As a corporate entity – legal person (Ltd., join stock company or Inc.)

3 How to learn business? Junior Achievement – original idea born in in the USA In Slovakia from 1992 (supported by Tomáš Baťa – famous shoe company owner, the name Baťa Junior Achievement) New school subject „Applied economics“ In the school year 2015/2016 already 798 schools, 874 teachers and 22 132 students involved.

4 Support for young enterpreneurs
Young Entrepreneurs Association of Slovakia (YEAS) was established in 2010 as an organization that connects young entrepreneurs under the age of 40. The main reason for the establishment of YEAS: lack of attention devoted to encouraging the young generation of entrepreneurs, young people do not usually suffer from the lack of new ideas, but they miss know-how, contacts, and capital.

civil engineering (including architechture, studying of historical styles of architecture, technological methods, standards and processes).

9 Financing European Investment Fund (micro loans with the limit of max. 25,000 € and loans up to 165,000 €, both with more advantageous interest) Labour office – for young people registered as unemployed for more than 3 months, passing the course for young enterpreneurs, obligated to continue in their business for at least following 2 years (submitting Business and financial plan is necessity) Micro loans of NADSME (FIT fund for startups, mainly in IT) Business angels (e.g. Ideamarkt.sk)

10 Support Experience exchange and mentoring.
Networking for young entrepreneurs. Help with the financing of innovative business in their early stages. Presentation of business case studies. Identifying and removing barriers in young people´s business.

11 Some facts: 74 per cent of young enterpreneurs started with the capital of less than 5 thousand € Only 3 of10 young businessmen have enough capital to start their own business

13 Possibilities of our students after finishing the school studies
They can get a new job – typical form of employment They can continue studying at universities They can start to run their own business Different areas of civil engineering and contemporary modern architecture, The branch of economy and economics, accounting or budgeting, The area of history, historical buildings, structures or monuments.

Protection of monuments is under the supervision of important authorities: Monuments Board, Restoration Ateliers in Levoca, etc.).

15 The waft of the Slovak history
Slovakia is a country with very rich history Consequences - spectacular styles, structures and buildings There are some examples of historical monuments, buildings and architecture

16 Old architecture in Poprad – St
Old architecture in Poprad – St. Egidius´ church /built in the 13th century/ - situated just in the centre of St. Egidius Square. It is the most valuable monument in the central part of Poprad.

17 The typical old Spiš architecture in Spišska Sobota /suburban part of Poprad/, being protected by the supervising organisation dealing with protection of historical monuments in Slovakia.

18 In 1517 Master Paul created the tallest Gothic altar in the world /lime tree, 18.6 m high, 6.2 m wide/. The Basilica of St. Jacob in Levoca and its altar were declared the national cultural monument and included in the UNESCO World Heritage

19 There is one of the most precious cultural monuments in the Spiš region that reigns over the Spiš basin - the Spiš Castle – - the largest castle in Central Europe.
