2. The Early Years Curriculum
From September 2012 there has been a curriculum called the Early Years Foundation Stage.

3. Four Principles in Early Years Settings.
We believe that
• every child is a unique child, who is constantly learning and can be resilient, capable, confident and self-assured;
• children learn to be strong and independent through positive relationships;
• children learn and develop well in enabling environments, in which their experiences respond to their individual needs and there is a strong partnership between practitioners and parents and/or carers; and
• children develop and learn in different ways and at different rates. The framework covers the education and care of all children in early years provision, including children with special educational needs and disabilities.

16. Developing Literacy Skills
Talk, talk and talk some more!
Think about how much of your talk is functional each day.
Be a reader, show how much you enjoy reading and how reading is a necessary part of your life.
Be a writer, show how much you need to write WITH A PEN AND PAPER!
