This is your Home Page for Naviance. Tell them about the “Pages” – links to instructions for test preparation for college entrance tests; if you get messages it will tell you to check them here; new and important information will be posted here as you move through high school.

Remember: Please use whichever address you check frequently – Your CCHS was automatically in there – you can change it here but only if you don’t check it regularly. Make sure you keep this page up-to-date – we send s and contact students, especially seniors and juniors, using this page. If we cannot contact you easily you may miss an important deadline. Add your parents information – if you do not know their , add it tonight when you show them this website.

8. Now, add the last Volunteer Service Project you participated in, completing the form – example is on screen. Have them Add to Resume and point out the Edit button – they can update as their hours, jobs, etc. change.

9. Career Exploration to help them find out about different careers and majors. Open personality type – tell them about the purpose of the inventory. Open career interest profiler and tell them the purpose of the interest survey. Explain what explore careers and clusters link is about.

10. Open the Colleges Tab: Talk about College Research, showing them the College Search link

Explain: Type: 2 vs 4 year – explain how selecting 4 year option takes the number of schools in the program down by about 50%; public vs. private; stress religious affiliation is not asking what religion they are but if they want to see a list of only Catholic schools or only Baptist schools. Explain they can search by Location – as specific as one state or entire regions, like North, southeast, west, etc. Stress athletics is only completed if they are interested in playing “hard core” division sports in college; intramurals and club sports are under Special Programs.

13. Click lookup and add Alabama, American and Appalachian – an out of state public university, a selective private university and an in-state public college. Scroll down and click update.

16. Click on the name of the school and you will go to Naviance’s home page for Catholic University.

17. Click on the name of the school and it brings you to Naviance’s homepage for Catholic U.
