There will be 3 mandatory round tables this year: Round Table #1: November 2nd, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. Round Table #2: March 8th, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. Round Table #3: May 17th, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. **Brown Bagged Lunch: November 21st** Make sure to mark these dates on your calendar! Hill

11 MATH Everyone can learn math to the highest levels
Focus on problem solving, making connections, communication, real life applications, and reflection Interactive Notebooks Mistakes are valuable and questions are really important!!! Grades are weighted as follows: Assessments: 55-60%, Quizzes: 10%, Homework/Classwork: 10-15% Final Exam (given each quarter): 20% Quiz retakes and test corrections Quizzes can be retaken as many times as needed to master the content Tests can be corrected for half points earned back High school content (8th): Algebra and Formal Geometry End of Course Exams (8th) High school graduation! 12 Science 6th Grade Both Grade Levels 8th Grade Honors Biology
Earth Science 6th grade content Grades are weighted as follows: Assessments/ Projects/ INB Checks: 60% Classwork/Labs: 30% Homework: 10% Final Exam 10% of semester overall grade Emphasis placed on the development of research and literacy skills, critical thinking skills, collaboration, developing and using mathematical models, and various lab techniques. Every student should have a binder ONLY for science. This is my organizational system for them to keep their work and to use as a study tool. Mistakes are valuable and questions are really important! Test corrections can help students reflect and re-learn the content. Can earn ½ points back. Must be finished in time frame given and done on their own time (lunch/ after school).
