1 PC CONTROL USING TV REMOTE
UNDER THE GUIDENCE OF PRESENTED BY MR.NARASIMHA REDDY G.SUPRIYA

2 INTRODUCTION While watching a movie or listening songs on your PC, you need not to get up from your seat to change the volume or to change the track. You can simply use your TV remote.

5 MICROPROCESSOR FUNCTIONS
Reading instructions or data from program memory ROM. Microprocessor Program is a collection of instructions stored in a Nonvolatile memory. Read Data from I/O device Read or write data to Data memory. Write data to I/O device and output the result of processing to O/P device.

8 TRANSFORMER . A transformer steps down high voltage AC mains to low voltage AC. Here we are using a center-tap transformer whose output will be sinusoidal with 36volts peak to peak value. The low voltage AC output is suitable for lamps, heaters and special AC motors. It is not suitable for electronic circuits unless they include a rectifier and a smoothing capacitor. The transformer output is given to the rectifier circuit.

9 RECTIFIER A rectifier converts AC to DC, but the DC output is varying. There are several types of rectifiers; here we use a bridge rectifier.

10 REGULATOR Regulator eliminates ripple by setting DC output to a fixed voltage. Voltage regulator ICs are available with fixed (typically 5V, 12V and 15V) or variable output voltages. Negative voltage regulators are also available. Many of the fixed voltage regulator ICs has 3 leads (input, output and high impedance). They include a hole for attaching a heat sink if necessary. Zener diode is an example of fixed regulator which is shown here.

11 MAX 232 DESCRIPTION +3 to +25 volts to signify a "Space“ (Logic0)
-3 to -25 volts for a "Mark" (logic 1). Any voltage in between these regions (i.e. between +3 and -3 Volts) is undefined. The data byte is always transmitted least-significant-bit first.

13 ADVANTAGES Low cost, less complexity.
We can operate the PC even in longer distances also. Eye problems can be avoided by operating PC in longer distances.

14 APPLICATIONS USED IN TELEVISIONS USED IN AC’S USED IN REMOTE CARS
USEFUL FOR ALL FUTURE VERSION PC’S

15 CONCLUSIONS The project “PC CONTROL USING TV REMOTE” has been successfully designed and tested. Integrating features of all the hardware components used have developed it. Presence of every module has been reasoned out and placed carefully thus contributing to the best working of the unit. Secondly, using highly IC’s and with the help of growing technology the project has been successfully implemented.
