8 P2 Information Please remember to label absolutely everything!
Termly newsletters and Regular Parent Mail will keep you informed. Children being encouraged to give us their letters from home each morning to increase responsibility.

9 P2 Information We are trying to encourage independence with lining up in the playground. This term we have Library on a Wednesday. Can Library books please be returned each week. We have Golden Time on a Friday. No Toys please apart from on a Friday for Golden Time.

10 P2 Information Please can children bring red bags everyday with their new plastic bag inside the red bag. Their homework should be placed in the plastic bags. Letters should be placed inside red bag but not plastic bag. Please bring water everyday.

11 PE PE : P2– Mon & Thurs Daily Mile – Outdoor trainers required in school. Indoor PE kit stays in school and will be sent home at any holidays. No jewellery on PE days. Indoor and Outdoor PE kits are required.

17 Reading Homework Reading - A new book is normally given out on a Monday and read the first half and then second half of the book will be read on a Wednesday. New titles will only be recorded in reading record. Please can books be returned on Thursdays Reading Sounds and common (Tricky) words - Please practise these daily by reading your little cards. Keep these at home

Spelling Homework Each new Block will come with dates as to when to complete. Monday: play a game pairs, flashcards Tuesday: choose 10 tricky words to write down Wednesday: make 8 words from the list and write in the little book for that block Thursday: choose two words and write a sentence and draw a picture Return on a Friday to be marked Maths Usually issued once a week on a Friday and will be returned on a Tuesday Active Homework – In Terms 2 and 4 Homework will be more active. Please sign all homework.

21 Other ways to help at home
Read bed time story every night Paired reading with child – let them read words they know and you read the others Visit the Library regularly Sing Nursery rhymes Practise mouse control on computer or laptop Practise buttons, zips and laces at home to develop independence
