3 A A Death & A Payment

4 Jesus: Sacrificial Lamb
Matthew 5 17 "Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill. (NKJV)

5 Isaiah 53 3 He is despised and rejected by men, A Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief. And we hid, as it were, our faces from Him; He was despised, and we did not esteem Him. 4 Surely He has borne our griefs And carried our sorrows; Yet we esteemed Him stricken, Smitten by God, and afflicted. 5 But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed. 6 All we like sheep have gone astray; We have turned, every one, to his own way; And the LORD has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.

6 Isaiah 53 7 He was oppressed and He was afflicted, Yet He opened not His mouth; He was led as a lamb to the slaughter, And as a sheep before its shearers is silent, So He opened not His mouth. 8 He was taken from prison and from judgment, And who will declare His generation? For He was cut off from the land of the living; For the transgressions of My people He was stricken. 9 And they made His grave with the wicked-But with the rich at His death, Because He had done no violence, Nor was any deceit in His mouth. 10 Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise Him; He has put Him to grief. When You make His soul an offering for sin… Because He poured out His soul unto death, And He was numbered with the transgressors, And He bore the sin of many, And made intercession for the transgressors.

7 Our Redeemer 1 Peter 1 18 knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver or gold, from your aimless conduct received by tradition from your fathers, 19 but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.

8 Our Redeemer 1 Corinthians 6 20 For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's.

9 Our Ransom Matthew "just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many."

10 Our Ransom Matthew "For this is My blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.

11 Our Ransom 1 John 3 5 And you know that He was manifested to take away our sins, and in Him there is no sin.

12 The Resurrection Provides Proof & Confidence
Romans 1 4 and declared to be the Son of God with power according to the Spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead. (NKJV)

13 The Resurrection Provides Proof & Confidence
Acts "because He has appointed a day on which He will judge the world in righteousness by the Man whom He has ordained. He has given assurance of this to all by raising Him from the dead."

14 (Luke 24:21) "But we were hoping that it was He who was going to redeem Israel. Indeed, besides all this, today is the third day since these things happened.

15 1 Corinthians And if Christ is not risen, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins! 18 Then also those who have fallen asleep in Christ have perished. 19 If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men the most pitiable.

16 Matthew And about the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, "Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani?" that is, "My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?"

17 Hebrews 4 15 For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin.

18 Colossians 1 22 in the body of His flesh through death, to present you holy, and blameless, and above reproach in His sight--

19 Romans 6 6 knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin.

20 The Resurrection Provides Proof & Confidence
Romans 6 23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

21 The Believer Must Die With Christ
Romans 6 8 Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him, (NKJV) The Believer Must Die With Christ

22 The Believer Must Die With Christ
2 Timothy 2 11 This is a faithful saying: For if we died with Him, We shall also live with Him. (NKJV) The Believer Must Die With Christ

23 The Believer Must Die With Christ
Galatians 2 20 "I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me. (NKJV) The Believer Must Die With Christ

24 The Believer Must Die With Christ
2 Corinthians 5 14 For the love of Christ compels us, because we judge thus: that if One died for all, then all died; (NKJV) The Believer Must Die With Christ

25 How Does One Respond? “When does God see me as having been crucified with Christ?” “How do I die with Christ and when does that happen?” “At what point does God view me as being united with His death?”

26 Many Gospels Preached Today
BIBLICAL answer! We need a Galatians 1 6 I marvel that you are turning away so soon from Him who called you in the grace of Christ, to a different gospel, 7 which is not another; but there are some who trouble you and want to pervert the gospel of Christ.

27 Romans 6:1-2 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it?

28 (Romans 6:1) What shall we say then
(Romans 6:1) What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound?

29 (1 Peter 2:24) who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness--by whose stripes you were healed. (NKJV)

30 Romans 6:3 Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death?

31 For if we have been united together in the likeness of His death, certainly we also shall be in the likeness of His resurrection, knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin.

32 Romans 6:7-8 For he who has died has been freed from sin
Romans 6:7-8 For he who has died has been freed from sin. Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him,

33 Romans 6:10-11 For the death that He died, He died to sin once for all; but the life that He lives, He lives to God. Likewise you also, reckon yourselves to be dead indeed to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

34 Romans 6:12 Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in its lusts.

35 Romans 6:17 But God be thanked that though you were slaves of sin, yet you obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine to which you were delivered.

36 (Romans 6:22) But now having been set free from sin, and having become slaves of God, you have your fruit to holiness, and the end, everlasting life.

37 Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

38 (Mark 16:15-16) And He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. "He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.
