4 Community survey #1 A community survey will be available for participation from August 15 – September 15 Available via hard copy and electronically (survey monkey) Link on the City’s website Steering Committee Needs: Complete the survey Market and promote Develop an list for distribution Suggest high traffic areas to distribute hard copies The results of the survey will influence goal and policy development The results will form the basis of our outreach and participation efforts for the open house

6 Goal workshop Goal: Each plan element within the comprehensive plan will include a series of goals and policies to formulate measurable steps in achieving the community’s overall vision. Goals establish long-range efforts for the city. They are intended to serve as guidelines for the comprehensive plan. Goals represent general statements that identify community aspirations or desired conditions. Policy: Each goal is accompanied by a series of policy statements. Policies describe actions made toward achieving each of the goals in the specific plan elements. AK/DE
