There are 3 exams in year 10 and 2 in year 11, then the GCSE. Exams involve many more worded, problem solving questions that don’t state which mathematical techniques to use. Increased teaching time to help prepare students for GCSE’s There are 7 lessons in year 10, 8 in year 11.

Resources Students must be well equipped for all lessons and exams. This involves black pens, pencils, ruler, eraser, compass and protractor as well as a Scientific Calculator. Students can purchase a revision guide from the finance office. These are designed with the new GCSE in mind. There are also a number of online resources that we highly recommend – mymaths, mathswatch, mathsgenie, on maths.
