Life long GA tennis player: A top ranked GA-state and southern regional junior As a undergraduate student played on the UGA Practice Team (Club Team) As a graduate student played #1 singles and doubles at UNG Was a USPTA certified tennis teaching professional Still plays adult league tennis Been a High School Tennis Coach for 11+ years Forth year coaching tennis at SFHS; Third year as Varsity Boys Coach

This will be my 5th year coaching tennis at SFHS. I’ve always been in love with the game of tennis! I began playing as a child, played High School Tennis, then continued playing tennis in college. I continue to play ALTA and USTA Tennis, and truly enjoy coaching our girls at South!

Teamwork and Unity: It is important to develop outstanding individual athletes, these are high school tennis teams. The coaching staff will encourage teamwork and a spirit of unity—working towards a common goal. Character & Sportsmanship: It is important to compete and win; however it is even more important to maintain an attitude of good sportsmanship no matter if you win or lose. 10 Player Expectations We Are…South Forsyth We Are…South Forsyth Matches
Varsity-best players will play-players are NOT guaranteed match playing time. JV-all players are guaranteed an opportunity to play, but match time will NOT be evenly split. All players are required to attend every match and must remain until the last player has finished. Players will NOT be allowed to “play and leave”. Players must practice with team in order to play. Players will NOT be allowed to “just play matches”. SFHS Tournament-March 2 & 3. Mandatory for all varsity players to attend. We Are…South Forsyth We Are…South Forsyth

Practices All players are required to attend every scheduled practice unless given permission by coach due to extreme circumstances. Players who have paid, professional tennis instruction/drills elsewhere at the same time of team practice will be allowed to miss team practice. However: They are required to attend at least 1 team practice per week when there are 2 or fewer matches. No practices on weeks with 3 or more matches. We Are…South Forsyth We Are…South Forsyth

Must be considered a student at South Forsyth High School in good standing and meet all GHSA requirements. Must have an up-to-date school physical on file at the school. Booster Club Fee: •Varsity: $400* •JV: $350* *$50 discount if you join and participate in a booster club committee Purchase SFHS Tennis Team Clothing (uniform): approx. $100 Mandatory Player and Parent Meeting-Jan. 18th* *(for those students who make a team) We Are…South Forsyth We Are…South Forsyth

●Date: Jan. 8-12* ●Times: 4:30-7:00 pm* *specific dates and times for certain players- will NOT have try outs everyday for the whole time ●Location: Fowler Park ●Varsity Teams: top players (9th – 12th grade) ●JV Teams: players (9th -11th grade only) ● Must join the SFHS Tennis Remind to receive tryout information.
