5 Victims All of Bundy’s victims fit the same basic profile- Young (college age) women, attractive, long dark hair parted in the center. They all resembled his ex-girlfriend from college. Several victims were raped. Several victims were tortured.

Born out of wedlock Grandparents raised him Was told that his mother was his sister until his early teens. Moved out with his mother and her new husband after he found out she was not his sister. Never connected with his stepfather. Grandfather was often violent and frightening Grandmother suffered from depression and panic attacks. Bundy and his mother (then thought to be his sister)

Triggers to Murder Saw abuse in the home regularly- grandfather was violent towards women. Dumped by his first girlfriend, Stephanie Brooks. Found out that his “sister” was actually his mother. Perceived betrayal of 2 women in his life led him to seek revenge against all women. All the victims resembled Bundy’s ex-girlfriend. Stephanie Brooks and Ted Bundy

Nero-chemical Reduced connectivity in the limbic system Hyper-reactive dopamine- Four times the normal amount of dopamine released in response to amphetamine. Nervous system abnormalities: Feels less fear and anxiety then the average person. Abnormal brain waive activity in the temporal lobe and limbic system. Biological- Family history 60% Psychopaths have family history of mental disorders. Biological relatives are 4-5 times more likely to show symptoms of psychopathy or sociopathy. Anti-social behavior might run in the family.

13 Treatments There are no known treatments for Psychopathy.
A psychopath is defined by a lack of emotions, lack of feeling, and lack of empathy for others. There is no pill or treatment that can give someone the ability to empathize. It is possible for a psychopath to understand, logically, that other people have feelings and what is socially right and wrong. But they will never feel it for themselves. Not all psychopaths get to the point of killing, the majority blend into society or end up incarcerated for lesser crimes.
