8 Answer #3  Okonkwo feels broken because he dedicated his life to become a lord of his clan and after he achieved his goal it was all taken away. Okonkwo blames his chi or personal god. He says “a man could not rise beyond the destiny of his chi” (Achebe 131) and he thinks his was not made for great things.
