2 Camera Angles This close up shot creates meaning because you can see the sweat running down his face, which emphasises that he's scared and creates tension. In this part of the scene there is no sound you can just hear the man breathing, which makes the audience tense as they know suddenly something is going to happen. This low angle shot illustrates the power and control the mother has over Mike as she's looking down on him as she's telling him what to do.

3 Mise en scene: Props This prop of the board game represents era as in the 1980’s they didn’t have a significant amount of technology therefore kids would play board games instead There is also another prop of an aerial TV, which the dad is banging which creates meaning. Mise en scene: Will has a bowl cut and his clothes are very old fashioned which denotes the 1980’s.

4 Mise en scene: setting Mise en scene of restricted area sign connotes to the viewer that Will is entering a dangerous place and that he’s not meant to be there. This camera angle here is a long shot, the long shot provides us with an overview of the setting and to see what’s going on. It shows us the entire figure of Will running which emphasises the tension of the scene.

5 The Simpsons Movie The equilibrium is that everything is normal and starts off with Homer doing chores The disruption starts when Homer saves a pig Recognition is when they're kicked out of Springfield and move to Alaska The Simpsons go back to save Springfield The new equilibrium is when the dome blows up and everyone is free
