Answer The theories are it was done on purpose, the angle was too steep to continue, it began to collapse, it was too heavy, and to lessen the work load to finish it. Bent Pyramid

Answer His military campaigns against the Nubians and Libyans are recorded on the Palermo stone, and he began to trade with the Mediterranean nations. To supply Egypt with the cedar wood they needed for buildings the royal barges and doors of palaces, he sent a fleet to Lebanon to trade for it.

10 Question How is Khufu most remembered? Answer Khufu is most remembered as Cheops, as the builder of the “Great Pyramid” in Giza.

12 Question Where did Khufu build his pyramid? Was it a new or old location to build a pyramid? Answer Khufu’s father originally built the pyramids in Dashur and Maidum. Khufu moved it to Giza. It was the new location. (picture on the next slide)

16 Question Describe the only visual representation that exists of Khufu. Answer It is a tiny statue about four inches tall. It was ivory, the details of the carving made the expression on the king’s face recognizable, and the king is wearing a red crown and holds. A flail in his right hand.
