How you will be judged: Evidence of Knowledge Gained
Informational, logical content that makes sense Evidence of Deep Understanding Students comfortable speaking about the project and make connections Creativity Color, humor, unique presentation Oral Presentation No long pauses, fluency, well-practiced, everyone participates Written Content Grammatically correct, logical organization, and informational Visual Presentation Neat, clear, organized, and attractive poster and/or PPT Question and Answer Students respond quickly and knowledgeably to questions about their project

Schedule for Grades 1-6 Deadline Research Project Action
Experiment Action November 26h Students should have their research topic picked. Pick a question that they can answer with a science project. December 3rd Students should have 5 sources and begin writing facts in their research notebook. Research project and make a prediction what will happen. December 10th Turn in research notebook and start creating a display. Begin making poster with research question, prediction and spaces for observations and conclusions. December 17th Finish display. Prepare for oral presentation. Prepare to complete experiments over Christmas break with parents. February 4nd Elementary School Science Fair First Thursday of school after break.
