3 Obtaining a Passport U.S. Department of State
Passports must be obtained and copied for turn-in by January meeting If you already have a Passport, check the expiration date Passport Photos Students hold on to their passports while in transit, upon check in at the hotel, chaperones will collect them and put them in a safe. Students MUST provide a copy by 1/31/18

5 Passport Procedures… Fill Out Form DS-11: Application For A U.S. Passport *need Social Security number **Online or by hand Submit Completed Form DS-11 *In Person. See website for places to do this Submit Evidence of U.S. Citizenship*birth certificate Present Identification Submit a Photocopy of the Identification Document(s) Presented (Step 4) Pay the Applicable Fee*minors $95 + ($25 fees)= $120 Provide One Passport Photo *Riteaid, CVS, etc

6 Be careful with Passport expiration dates!
All travelers need a passport that is valid for at least six months after your return date, and non-U.S. citizens may need additional documentation. Applications can take a few months to process, so it is important to get them in early. That’s January of 2019!!!!

7 Confirmation of Names You must logon to Eftours.com and confirm the traveler’s name by January 31, 2017. Your name in the EF system must appear EXACTLY as it is on your passport. There is only space in EF for one address – please make sure that the address belongs to the person who should be receiving all of the communication regarding the trip.

8 Transfer to Airport on June 26th
Leaving from CB South High School Each student pays approximately $40 for bus to airport Parents pick students up at SOUTH upon return July 5th All students will return to the U.S. Bus money and tip money will be collected in May

9 Forms to Sign Medical Profile – must be signed and turned in by 1/31/18 EF Alcohol Policy form signed by 1/31/18 Luggage search form – must be signed and turned in by 1/31/18 The medical profile, Alcohol policy and luggage forms may be sent to Ms. Gray at South or turned in to a teacher listed below. Central Bucks School Board Policies #231 regarding Student Travel (read #8 and #12 specifically) and #227 regarding Controlled Substances. These policies must be reviewed and acknowledged with initials tonight. 10 Food Please remember to include food allergies in the medical profile form! If your child has any dietary restrictons, please make a LARGE note of it on the top of the medical profile form. Students should be open minded when eating in France!

11 Fundraising As stated in CBSD policy #231 of the Central Bucks School District, fundraising is the sole responsibility of the student. EF now has a donation button on their site! EF Fundraising Guide

12 The Project WeShare – go all the way to the bottom, click the black box that says ‘get weShare’ and set up an account Answer the guided questions What is your research style? Demographic & cultural research Online portfolio (weShare) Topic must be approved by group leader by January 31, 2018

Possible Topics… Day 1 – Depart PHL for Paris Day 2 – Arrive and transfer to Orléans/Joan of Arc Museum Day 3 – Lesson/Tour of Orléans/Tour Cathedrale Sainte-Croix Day 4 – Tour of the Loire Valley: Chenonceau, Amboise, Chambord/Wine Cellar Day 5 – Lesson/Free afternoon with small groups Day 6 – Lesson/Transfer to Paris via Chartre (12th century) UNESCO site Day 7 – Tour of Paris/Versailles/Sacre-Coeur and Montmartre Day 8 – The Louvre/Tour of Latin Quarter/Notre Dame/Sorbonne Day 9 – Giverny/Champs-Elysees/Seine Cruise/Eiffel Tower Day 10 – Depart Paris for PHL What interests you? What do you think the people will be like? What are you looking forward to the most? What do you know about where we’ll be visiting? (history, climate, language) What’s your itinerary? How do you say: Salutations Interrogatives Numbers Commands Do you speak French? When are you really FLUENT in another language?
