3 How to Survive Your Last Year in Middle School
Meet teacher expectations Follow rules Be on TIME Avoid drama and gossip Choose your friends wisely Join clubs Be self-confident Learn to balance responsibility with fun Seek an adult for help BELIEVE IN YOURSELF!!!! Avoiding gossip – if it’s not going to benefit someone don’t say anything Surround yourself with positive people Join clubs – get involved, join sports teams. Boys and girls basketball see Nigel for information. Seek an adult for help if you are having a hard time solving an issue.

How to Ace your classes Pay attention in class Take notes Do your homework – create a student account on the school website Stay organized – use a planner Don’t procrastinate Ask questions Study- be prepared for class Check your teacher’s webpage Set up notifications Get enough sleep and put your phone to sleep when you do  Check your PPMH everyday Use a planner or your phone calendar Set up notifications on your teacher’s webpage so you can get an alert when the teacher updates his/her page.

The PSAT 8/9 is a test that will help you and your teachers figure out what you need to work on most so that you’re ready for college when you graduate from high school. It measures: What you learn in school What you need to succeed in college AP potential

11 Road to College – Why should I take AP and Dual Enrollment courses?
AP® and Dual Enrollment courses are college-level courses offered in high school They absolutely look amazing in your transcripts! Gives you bonus points for weighted GPA. A score of 3 or higher on an AP exam can typically earn students college credit and/or placement into advanced courses in college. Dual enrollment courses give you college credit while in High School.
