1 Top Tips to succeed in English Literature
Read all the set texts (Romeo & Juliet, An Inspector Calls, A Christmas Carol) at least three times before the final exam. Learn key quotes from the set texts and poetry anthology. Practise past exam questions in timed conditions. Plan answers for a wide range of possible questions.

2 Study Skills in English Literature
Time yourself when answering past paper questions. Learn key quotes and analysis by creating cards and testing yourself. Create notes, mind maps, cards, pictures about characters, themes, quotes, and context. Revise topics from Y10 & Y11 by using GCSE pod, Flink resources, revision guides, Super 6 sheet, Pixl app, and Brainscape.

3 Study Skills in English Language
Practise exam questions from websites, and Flink resources. Read non-fiction (papers, articles, books) regularly: 10 minutes a day. Practise your writing skills (narrative, letters, reports, articles) by planning responses to exam questions and writing your answer under timed conditions.

4 Things to do! Spend 20 to 60 minutes every day practising English Literature or English Language. Make reading an everyday habit. Underline / highlight and annotate important parts of your set texts.
