1 Class and Team Business
This is now your homeroom! New bathroom passes – using Quarter 3 passes in your agenda. Take out notebook, folder, pencil box and agenda every morning. Put backpack against the wall as directed.

2 Walk-In Copy the question at the back of your notebook and answer in sentences: What can we infer (figure out) about our society from the fact that people stop at red lights?

3 Answers We have laws, rules and consequences.
We obey laws that keep us safe and make sense to us. We accept our leaders’ decisions to make laws for us. We have a voice in our laws and making changes to them.

4 Welcome to world history
Early Asian Civilizations

5 Each day, QUIETLY get a chair out and sit down.
Walk-In Routine Each day, QUIETLY get a chair out and sit down. Unpack your notebook, folder, pencil box and agenda. Put away your backpack.

6 Walk-In Questions Each Walk-In question goes at the BACK of your notebook. Put the date in the TOP RIGHT CORNER. Write the title Walk-In. Copy the question in your notebook. Answer it the best you can. It’s okay if you’re wrong, but it’s not okay not to try.

7 Staying Organized Daily notes go at the FRONT of your notebook. You do not need to start on a fresh page. Begin a new day’s work right below where you left off the day before. Write the date at the top right corner. Write the title in the middle of the page. Handouts go into your WH folder, in the order that you got them (keeps handouts organized!).

8 Essential Questions Rather than focus on itty-bitty little facts and dates, we will zero in on BIG IDEAS. We will answer Essential Questions about each civilization that we study. Consider the following questions.
