3 Super MACRO topic points…
Development Assumptions Best Practices Basic Workflow Rules Order of Table Entry Future Developments Credit goes to Eric for designing and creating the programming for the Super Macro. Also, Ben Doucet gets a bunch of credit for using it in anger and helping with the tips and tricks.

4 Development OmegaPS as the LSAR tool – navigation by EIAC and LCN Bulk data entry – time consuming due to multiple screen navigation, validation issues GEIA-STD-0007-B is XML driven, so scripts can be utilized Provides analyst with more up-front time for research, analysis and data validation

5 Starting point is certain Tables already have data
Assumptions Structure, RAM and FMECA data have been uploaded (first iteration of SuperMACRO) Starting point is certain Tables already have data With updated SuperMACRO minimal table population required Wise to verify what Table fields have been preloaded before running the Macro FMECA can be changed using the SuperMACRO via the Change file

6 Best Practices Instructions are quite well written - read, understand and follow the instructions Re-visit the Instructions occasionally, so that any nuance will not be forgotten Back-up the LSAR before performing any major upload If unsure of what Table data field is being populated, FIND OUT! Be aware that once an “ADD” file has been run, a “CHANGE” file must be run to update or change any data. Prudent to ensure no blanks or spaces are present in the “CHANGE” file, as this may overwrite good existing data. The Macro will load a bad file, so make sure it passes all the business rules first. This simplifies troubleshooting.

7 Instructions

8 Basic Workflow Rules Backup LSAR under analysis
Create a “Test” macro with 1 (or a small number) records Test the upload file using the “Validate File” function The “Validate File” MUST be performed prior to running the Macro. This checks the business rules; therefore, anything other than an “OK” MUST be rectified. Verify data has been entered correctly & into the proper Table ONLY after ensuring the process worked, repeat with full data set BACK-UP, BACK-UP, BACK-UP The Macro will load a bad file, so make sure it passes all the business rules first. This simplifies troubleshooting.

9 Order Of Table Entry AA HA CA BA AB HF CB BD AC HG CD BE AG -- CG BF
**CH/XI** BH CI XI Table needs to have Technical Manual entered before CH Table macro can be performed CL Table can be loaded anytime, but usually after MTA is complete, thus capturing all required C-W-N (Cautions-Warnings-Notes) XI Table needs to have Technical Manual entered before CH Table macro can be performed.

10 Canadian Provisioning
Future Development Multi-Table macro Allows two tables to be populated in one file upload Currently the RCM and FMECA tables Canadian Provisioning Entry of weights & volumes, including Unit of Measure
