Lopez grew up in the outskirts of London and studied social politics at Loughborough University.
After graduation, she enrolled in a styling course at London’s Central Saint Martins (Stella McCartney and John Galliano are a few of the all-star alums).
After interning at British GQ for “nine long months of doing returns in the fashion closet,” she was promoted to fashion assistant.
After her exit in 2009, she styled such bands as Muse and Snow Patrol and came to the rescue when Hudson found herself needing a London-based stylist.
Their first major red carpet together was 2012′s Venice Film Festival.

A fresh entry on the Hollywood stylist scene, Lopez has made the most of her entree by dressing Kate Hudson in a much- praised gown at Oscars 2014.

9. OSCAR PHILOSOPHY
Lopez started working with the Versace team in early February on Hudson’s Atelier draped Oscar gown with cape detail “It felt so elegant and so Oscars, and the back was just spectacular,” recalls Lopez of the 1930s-inspired style. The original sketch showed a black dress, but Lopez asked to see it in pale silver. “I knew this gown could be a real contender; Kate felt the same.” After their first fitting, Lopez and Hudson decided that the dress needed more razzle-dazzle: “The next day, Donatella put her best beading girl on a flight from Paris to L.A. She was hand-sewing crystals all week,” says Lopez. “Versace — they don’t mess around!”

Hudson had another jaw-to-the-floor moment when she walked the red carpet at November’s LACMA Art + Film Gala in a plunging gold and blush-hued Gucci gown, with cutouts showing her taut abs.
