7 Scale Drawing: Re-cap Example: 1cm : 100cm
Scale drawing allows us to draw large objects on a smaller scale or a smaller object on a larger scale, keeping them accurate. All scale drawings must have a scale written on them. Scales are usually expressed as ratios. Example: 1cm : 100cm The ratio 1cm:100cm means that for every 1cm on the scale drawing the length will be 100cm in real life

8 Scale Drawings A scale of 1 cm : 2m for every 1cm measured on a
this represents 2m in real-life.

9 Scale Drawings A scale of 1 : 200 …means for every 1 measured on a
drawing this represents 200 in real-life. So if you measured 1cm it is worth 200cm in real life. Or if you measured 1mm it is worth 200mm in real life

What is formulae? Formulae is a way of describing a relationship between variables For example: How do you calculate the area of a room? Length x Width (You always do this calculation, regardless of what the length and width are) Area = Length x Width A = L X W This is a formula!!
