5 What is NOZA? NOZA is the world’s largest source of searchable individual, corporate and foundation giving data.

6 Where does NOZA data come from?
NOZA technology locates unstructured, publicly available charitable giving facts and converts them into an online searchable database. This allows NOZA users to search, download and save data anytime, quickly, easily and affordably. And this reflects the NOZA mission: To help nonprofits raise more money and spend less money doing it. Source: Annual Report

7 Prospect Research Defined
Prospect Research = Fundraising Intelligence Discovery and analysis of meaningful, relevant information about donors.  Information discovered ranges from the very specific to the very broad Donor's philanthropic history Donor’s career steps Larger economic trends likely to affect the donor  Discovery may include the tracking of an ongoing story (company takeover, etc.) Researchers package the information clearly and concisely and provide it the fundraising operation's front line, the gift officers.  The successful researcher is a trusty, savvy advisor to the fundraising operation's front line. In small nonprofits, the executive officer may also be the researcher and major gift officer.

8 Why Prospect Research Matters
Research feeds the fundraising cycle and the fundraising cycle feeds your non-profit money. Help you achieve your mission and provide programs and services to local, national and international communities.

9 The Fundraising Cycle Research -- and NOZA -- come into play at three key phases of the cycle. Identification Cultivation Solicitation (c) Nat Caldwell 2008
