1. The seasons in Slovakia

2. Spring
The spring starts on 21st March when the mornings are still cold with temperature about nine degrees. It is rainy, showery or cloudy but sometimes the sun is shining. During the day the temperature is about 14 degrees. But in May it is warmer.

3. Hobby in spring
In spring the nature awakes and bears wake up from hibernation and they look for food. People start the spring cleaning and they look forward to Easter and Carnival.

4. Summer
The summer starts on 22nd June with very high temperatures about 25 degrees, sometimes the temperature is about 30 degrees especially in July. It is very sunny and hot but after sunny days it might be thundery and stormy. At night it is very warm too.

5. Hobby in summer
In summer people go on holiday abroad or to their family cottages. Children don´t go to school and can play sports - football, volleyball or tennis.

6. Autumn
The autumn starts on 23rd September, when it is rainy and windy. The temperature is 3-10 degrees. Sometimes in autumn we have Indian summer. It is sunny and warm, with temperature up to 15 degrees. Autumn is a very colourful season.

7. Hobby in autumn
In autumn some animals get ready to sleep for winter and people prepare on Haloween and on Christmas. Holidays finished and children go back to school. Autumn is full of spooks and pumpkins.

8. Winter
The winter starts on 21st December. In Slovakia, weather is very cold with temperature -5 to degrees. It is very icy and frosty . It snows a lot, too.

9. Hobby in winter
In winter people decorate Christmas tree and they make decorations around the house. Children look forward to Christmas and they go skiing, sledging or snowboarding. People look forward New Year ,too
