2 MiCSES Background The purpose and the mission of the Child Support Enforcement Program are derived from title IV-D of the Social Security Act To enhance the well-being of children by assuring that assistance in obtaining support, including financial and medical, is available to children through locating parents, establishing paternity, establishing support obligations, and monitoring and enforcing those obligations Michigan’s child support program operates through the cooperative efforts of three agencies The Department of Human Services Office of Child Support Prosecuting attorneys in each county Friends of the court in each county

5 MiCSES Data Warehouse The MiCSES system provides data to and utilizes data from the Data Warehouse Maintain an address history from a number of sources in support of the location process Compile statewide case data and manage the interaction with the Federal Case Registry Link New Hire Data to Court Orders and produce Income Withholding Notices Compile Financial Institution Data Match account data for use in enforcement actions Compile Federal Reporting data for use in the OCSE157 and OCSE 34A reports Compile Medical Insurance coverage information for provision to Title XIX
