1 Allah is Goodness and the Goodness in
Accepting that there is good in everything if we trust in Allah

2 It is from the sunnah of the Prophet to turn to Allah when in need
It is from the sunnah of the Prophet to turn to Allah when in need. It is from the Goodness of doing so that he taught his companions the Khutbah (sermon) of Need: “All praise and thanks be to Allah, we praise Him and we seek His Aid and we ask His Forgiveness and we seek shelter with Allah from the evil of ourselves (and in one narration: and the wickedness of our deeds); whomsoever Allah guides, there is none who can misguide him and whomsoever Allah sends astray, there is none can guide him And I testify that none is worthy of worship except Allah and I testify that Muhammad is His slave and His Messenger." (Dawud and Tirmidhi) He would then recite these 3 verses: "0 you who believe! Fear Allah (by doing all that He has ordered and by abstaining from all that He has forbidden) as He should be feared. (Obey Him, be thankful to Him, and remember Him always,) and die not except in a state of Islam [as Muslims (with complete submission to Awah)] (Surat 3:102) And he would recite: "0 you who believe! Keep your duty to Allah and fear Him, and speak (always) the truth. He will direct you to do righteous good deeds." (surat 33:70-71)

3 The prophet used to recite that duaa before beginning any event.
Shu'bah said: "I said to Abu Ishaq: "Is this in the Khutbah of marriage or another?" He said: "It is for every need." The Prophet taught his companions to call upon Allah and seek his help in acquiring the good of whatever is new in a person's life. He said: “If any of you acquired a wife, a servant or a riding beast, he should take her (him or it) by the forelock and invoke Allah's Blessing and invoke the Name of Allah, the Almighty, the All- powerful, then say: Allahumma, Innee As'aluka Khairaha Wa Khaira Ma Julibat 'Alaihi Wa Nadu Bika Min Sharriha Wa Sharri Ma Julibat 'Alaihi "Oh, Allah! I ask You for the good in her, and in the disposition which You have given her; and I seek refuge in You from the evil in her, and in the disposition which You have given her.” (Ibn Majah and Dawud)

4 For people who were newly married it is from the sunnah of the Prophet to greet them as follows:
He used to say to the newly married couples: “May Allah bless (your marriage) for you and may He bless you and join you both in goodness." (Dawud and Tirmidhi) Even when faced with a hardship our Prophet taught us that there is good in that and he said: "If any man sees someone who is put to trial and says: AlHamdu Lillahil-Ladhee 'Afanee Mimmabtalaka Bihi Wa Padhdhalanee 'Ala Katheerin Mimman Khalaqa Tafdeelan (All praise and thanks be to Allah, Who spared me from what has afflicted you and greatly preferred me to many of his creatures), he will not be affected by that affliction, whatever it was." (Tirmidhi)

5 It is from the his sunnah to not look at the bad in things nor allow oneself to fall victim to bad thoughts or superstition The Prophet Said: “Optimism is best and if you see some omen which you dislike, say: Alldhumma, La Yalee Bil-Hasanati Illa Anta Wa La Yadfa'us-Sayyi'ati Zlla Anta Wa La Hawla Wa La Quuwwata Illa Bik. “Oh, Allah' None makes it possible for us to earn Goodness except You and none removes Evil except You and there is no power and no might except with You." (Abu Dawud) So thus the believer remains calm in life and always looks for the good in its trials. He never becomes caught up in the bad or negativity

6 Despite how hard the believer tries though, Shaytaan is always near trying to break the believer. We are never safe from him, even when we are asleep Many Muslims fall victim to Shaytaan when they are asleep. He will come to them giving them dreams false promises and hope as a means of duping them in their faith. It is for this reason that the Prophet (sa) said: "A righteous vision comes from Allah and a bad dream from Satan. So when one of you sees a bad dream in which there is something that he does not like, he should blow air on his left side three times and seek refuge with Allah from the devil, then it will not harm him; and he should not tell anyone about it. And if he sees a righteous vision, he should feel pleased, but he should not disclose it to anyone except those whom truly loves him” (Bukhari)

7 It is from the Prophet's sunnah for a person to also do the following when experiencing bad dreams:
To change positions To wake up and make wudu and perform 2 rakaats Also the prophet (sa) said: "A vision (flies away) on the leg of a bird, so long as it is not interpreted, but if it is interpreted, it settles." Abu Razeen said: "And I think he said: "Do not tell it except to one whom loves you or one who has Judgement” (Dawud)
