Riyaad-us-Saliheen Certainty and Tawakkul Taught by Br Wajdi Akkari Commentary of Shaikh Ibn Uthaymeen Lesson 21

Hadith Umm Salamah (May Allah be pleased with her) reported: Whenever the Prophet ( ﷺ ) stepped out of his house, he would say, "Bismillah, tawakkaltu `alallah. Allahumma inni a`udhu bika an adilla aw udalla, aw azilla aw uzalla, aw azlima aw uzlama, aw ajhala aw yujhala `alayya". "[I go forth. (I begin with the Name of Allah, I trust in Allah; O Allah! I seek refuge in You from leaving or being led astray, or against slipping or being caused to slip; or doing injustice or being done injustice; or doing wrong or having wrong done to me)]". [Abu Dawud(wording) and At-Tirmidhi]

Anas (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: Messenger of Allah ( ﷺ ) said, "Whoever says (upon leaving his house): `Bismillah, tawakkaltu `alallah, wa la hawla wa la quwwata illa billah [I begin with the Name of Allah; I trust in Allah; there is no altering of conditions but by the Power of Allah],' it will be said to him: 'You are guided, defended and protected.' The devil will go far away from him". [Abu Dawud, At-Tirmidhi and An-Nasa'i]  Abu Dawud reported it with this addition: "One devil will say to another: 'How can you deal with a man who has been guided, defended and protected?"  We often say these out of habit not understanding their benefits or with any intentions  Memorising without understanding may result in no positives Hadith

Anas (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: There were two brothers in the days of the Prophet ( ﷺ ). One of them used to attend the Prophet's circle (to acquire knowledge) and the other used to earn their living). Once the latter complained to the Prophet ( ﷺ ) against the former (for not earning his living). He ( ﷺ ) replied, "Perhaps you are being provided because of him". [At-Tirmidhi]  Those who dedicate their time and life to seek knowledge does not make them a burden on their family  Allah may be providing for them due to the efforts made by the student of knowledge  This is why many Ulama say that if one wants to seek knowledge he is eligible to receive Zakah, they class it as a Jihad (it is a form of struggling for Allah)  If nobody seeks knowledge in the community it is sinful upon the community therefore they should be aided by the community Hadith

Riyaad-us-Saliheen Istaqamah (straight path) Taught by Br Wajdi Akkari Commentary of Shaikh Ibn Uthaymeen Lesson 21 Part 2

 "So stand (ask Allah to make) you (Muhammad ( ﷺ )) firm and straight (on the religion of Islamic Monotheism) as you are commanded...'' (11:112)  "Verily, those who say: `Our Rubb is Allah (Alone),' and then they stand firm, on them the angels will descend (at the time of their death) (saying): 'Fear not, nor grieve! But receive the glad tidings of Jannah which you have been promised! We have been your friends in the life of this world and are (so) in the Hereafter. Therein you shall have (all) that your inner-selves desire, and therein you shall have (all) for which you ask. An entertainment from (Allah), the Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.''' (41:30-32)  "Verily, those who say: `Our Rubb is (only) Allah,' and thereafter stand firm and straight (on the Islamic Faith of Monotheism), on them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve. Such shall be the dwellers of Jannah, abiding therein (forever), - a reward for what they used to do.'' (46:13,14) Not what they used to say or claim, there must be actions E.g. how can you believe but not pray Verses

Sufyan bin `Abdullah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: I said, "O Messenger of Allah, tell me something of Islam which I will not ask anyone else about it.'' He ( ﷺ ) said, "Say, `I believe in Allah' and then be steadfast". [Muslim]  Believing in Allah includes believing in his existence, his Lordship, his Names and Attributes, His rulings and news that he gave us regarding the day of judgement and what has preceded us  Do not add anything or remove into the religion Hadith

Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: Messenger of Allah ( ﷺ ) said, "Follow the Right Path of Faith strictly, and be steadfast; and keep in mind that none of you can achieve salvation through his (good) actions.'' Someone asked, "Not even you, O Messenger of Allah?'' He ( ﷺ ) said, "Not even me, unless Allah grants me His Mercy and Grace". [Muslim]  There are things that deprive us of mercy including curse, some actions that if a Muslim does he will receive the curse of Allah (being deprived of Allahs' mercy)  Allah may still choose to forgive someone but that is the Will of Allah, but nobody has a guarantee  Changing the creation of Allah, dealing with Riba, men imitating women are some of the sins that will incur the curse of Allah  The meaning of Istiqamah, being consistently obedient to Allah  Jawamiul kalim - Where a small statement can be used to obtain many rulings Hadith
