We are organizing the first ever TEDx event at the campus of Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University, Pune on 16th January, The theme of TEDxBVDUPune is “Coming Back To Life”
TED is an annual event that brings together the world’s leading thinkers and doers to share ideas that matter in any discipline, whether it be technology, entertainment, design, science, humanities, or business development. The talks at the conference, known as “TEDTalks”, are then made available to watch for free online.
In the spirit of “Ideas Worth Spreading”, TED has created TEDx, A program of local, self- organized events that bring people together to share a TED like experience.
At a TEDx event, TEDTalk videos and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connections. Our TEDx talk is not operated by TED conferences, but is operated under a license from TED.

TED is a global foundation devoted to ideas worth spreading which brings together some of the world’s leading thinkers and doers to share what they are most passionate about. It started out in 1984 as a conference bringing together people from three worlds: Technology, Entertainment, and Design – three broad subject areas that are, collectively, shaping our future. Since then, its scope has become ever broader, showcasing ideas that matter in any discipline– science, arts, global issues, media, architecture, music and much more. Attendees have called it “The Ultimate Brain Spa” and “A Journey Into The Future.” The diverse audience — CEOs, scientists, philanthropists - is almost as extraordinary as the speakers, including Bill Clinton, Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, etc.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. There have been over 3000 TEDx events to date. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx0, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self organized. TEDx events are fully planned and coordinated independently, on a community-by- community basis with the purpose of inspiring innovation, thought leadership and visionary insight.

Who will attend:
TEDxBVDUPune is bringing together one hundred open-minded, creative and forward-thinking individuals that are as fascinating and accomplished as the speakers themselves. They will include students representing all facets of Bharati Vidyappeth Deemed University life including educators, artists, homemakers, activists, doctors, lawyers, students, futurists, and every person that is pursuing studies from any of the 24 colleges situated in the campus and areinterested in broadening her/his mind by participating in this event dedicated to ideas worth spreading.
Where and when:
TEDxBVDUPune will be hosted in the pristine conference center of BVDU Medical College, located in the lush green campus of Bharati Vidyapeeth. With a beautiful auditorium fitting above 200 guests, you can expect a comfortable and streamlined conference for all attendees. The date, January 16th 2018, is Tuesday, which will mark the commencement of the very first TEDxBVDUPune.

6. Scope
The youtube TEDx Talks page accounts for more than 8.5 Million subscribers with more than Ninety Five Thousand videos uploaded till date.
There are about Twenty Three Thousand TEDx events occurring globally every year and the world is watching them.
Each TEDx Talk uploaded online shows a sponsorships and partnerships slide for three seconds in each video where every video is being watched by a million viewers on an average.
TEDx being a global platform, provides wide range of opportunities for not just for the speakers but the sponsors also.
