For fifteen years, Rick taught English and history at public and private middle schools in the San Francisco Bay Area and in Texas.
While teaching in San Antonio, Saint Mary’s Hall honored him with the school’s first Master Teacher Award.
While teaching full time, Riordan began writing mystery novels for grownups.

His oldest son loved greek mythology so Rick Riordan would read it to him every night as a bedtime story.
But one night they ran out of greek mythology to read, so Rick decided to make his own greek mythology.
After that Rick made countless books about all kinds of mythologies for kids, and there were over 20 books that were #1 Best New York Times Sellers!

4. Author HabiTs
The Author Rick Riordan usually makes books where people fall in love, and there’s always someone who either has a weird relationship or has a broken heart.
He also usually makes books with ultimate weapons, and modern day mythology teenager heroes.
Also his books usually have to do with villains that aren’t as bad as a villain later on.
Some of his books even have awesome deaths, but sadly no bad guys die in any of his books.
Lastly this author always seems to make the funniest first person views in almost all of his books.

5. What I Think AbOut Rick’s BoOKs
I think that his books have the just right amount of drama and lovers without that much romance.
Although there was that one time when… Actually let’s not go there.
But other than some stuff that… Let’s just say is interesting, I loved his books.
