Atonement Lev 16:34 This shall be an everlasting statute for you, to make atonement for the children of Israel, for all their sins, once a year." Rom 5:11 …we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement. Heb 9:12 Not with the blood of goats and calves, but with His own blood He entered the Most Holy Place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption. Heb 10:4 For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and goats could take away sins.

Sin Sin Joh_3:36 He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him."

THE BLOOD IS FOR GOD TO SEE
Exo 12:13 Now the blood shall be a sign for you on the houses where you are. And when I see the blood, I will pass over you; and the plague shall not be on you to destroy you when I strike the land of Egypt.

The mercy seat was in the back room of the temple called the Holy of Holies. It was a solid gold lid with crafted golden Cherubim on the top of the ark of the covenant. The blood of a goat sacrifice was sprinkled upon it for the covering of Israel’s sin for one year on the Day of Atonement (Exo_25:17-22).

Joh 1:29 The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, "Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world! 1Co 5:7 ...indeed Christ, our Passover, was sacrificed for us.

Heb 9: But Christ having come a high priest of the good things to come, through the greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this creation, (12) nor yet through the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood, entered in once for all into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption.

Substitution "Surely our griefs He Himself bore, and our sorrows He carried. Yet we ourselves esteemed Him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. 5 But He was pierced through for our transgressions.  He was crushed for our iniquities; The chastening for our well-being fell upon Him, and by His scourging we are healed. 6 All of us like sheep have gone astray. Each of us has turned to his own way. But the Lord has caused the iniquity of us all to fall on Him," (Isaiah 53:4-6). 2Co 5:21 For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. 2Co 5:21 For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

Redemption Eph 1:7 In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace

THE DEBT HAS BEEN PAID IN FULL
“TETELESTAI” Jn. 19:30 “IT IS FINISHED” THE DEBT HAS BEEN PAID IN FULL

Rom 3: being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, (25) whom God set forth as a propitiation by His blood, through faith, to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance God had passed over the sins that were previously committed, 1Jn 2:2 And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole world. 1Jn 4:10 In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Heb 2:17 Therefore, in all things He had to be made like His brethren, that He might be a merciful and faithful High Priest in things pertaining to God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people.

Reconciliation Rom 5: For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life. (11) And not only that, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation.

The Saving Work Of Jesus on the Cross
Atonement - His Blood takes away our sins removing them from us as far as the east is from the west never to be remembered again. Substitution – Jesus took our place and was sins Redemption - His blood is the ransom price that paid for all our sins. Propitiation - The blood of Jesus completely satisfied the divine justice of the Father Reconciliation – By the blood of Jesus God made peace with us so that we are no longer enemies
